The Sexiest Vegan And Vegetarian Male Celebrities

Their lifestyle is the very reason why these hunks are as sexy as hell.

Thousand, if not hundred of years ago, staying healthy is very simple and now we are going back to basics just to stay healthy. And shifting from what we are used to now to what our ancestors are used to in order to stay healthy is not that difficult at all.

With that said, women are not the only individuals shifting to a healthier lifestyle. As much as we women want to look good and feel good in our favorite dress, men also would want the same thing for themselves. After all we are all just human.

Now if you have read the post on Popular Vegan Women, I think you will wonder which male celebrities do the same thing. And I am sure you are wondering if your favorite male celebrity is one of us. So allow me to share with you the hot male celebrities who lead a healthy vegan or vegetarian lifestyle.

Check out the list below.

Sexiest Vegan And Vegetarian Male Celebrities

The newest meat- and dairy-free male celeb, Ne-Yo tweeted on December 30, “What’s everybody’s New Year’s resolution? I’m gonna try to go Vegan. Discipline test. NOT looking forward to it. Wish me luck!!” We hear the singer is still going strong!

Jason Mraz

The sexy singer who just won “Favorite Male Artist” at the People’s Choice Awards is serious about healthy food (He lives on an avocado farm!) And he’s not shy about sharing how his plant-based diet has changed his life on his blog. “I ride longer distances on my bike, can do more pull-ups than ever, and my brain seems to have a larger capacity for new projects, problem solving, songwriting, and fielding random questions… It also makes me a lot better in bed.” Can’t argue with that!

Tobey Maguire

The oh-so-studly actor who stars in The Great Gatsby, due out this spring, became a vegetarian in 1992 and a vegan in 2009. In a 2008 interview with Parade magazine, Tobey Maguire revealed giving up meat was an easy adjustment, saying “It’s never really been that hard for me. I’ve never had any desire to eat meat. In fact, when I was a kid I would have a really difficult time eating meat at all.”

We’re happy for our favorite former Spider Man, but going vegan isn’t always so simple.

Woody Harrelson

How could we not include PETA’s Sexiest Male Celebrity Vegetarian of 2012? Woody Harrelson told Esquire that he became vegan while living in New York when he was first trying to become an actor: “I was on a bus and some girl sees me blowing my nose. I had acne all over my face, which I’d had for years and years. And she’s like: ‘Hey, you’re lactose intolerant. If you quit dairy, all these symptoms you got will be gone in three days.’ I was like twenty-four. And I was like, No way. But three days later: gone.”

Mickey Madden

In an interview with PETA, the Maroon 5 bassist revealed, “I have a general affection for animals and a respect for all living things. And having those sparks of interest led me to do some research, and when you dig a little below the surface, what you find is really disturbing. It kind of makes veganism seem like the only option. I can’t even conceive of going back to eating animal products at all.”

Thomas Dekker

It was an experience at a pig farm when he was eight years old that turned Thomas Dekker, star of Termintor: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, on to a vegan diet by age 12, according to The Vegetarian Times.

Russell Brand

British comedian Russell Brand has been a vegetarian since age 14, and like Dax Shepard and Kristen Bell, he made the switch to being vegan in 2011 after watching the documentary Forks Over Knives, according to

Ben Stiller

Last summer Ben Stiller appeared on Conan and spoke about his new and improved lifestyle: He kicked coffee and became vegan. (Although he admits he does eat fish sometimes. So technically he’s a pescatarian.)

Johnny Galecki

The Big Bang Theory star told Conan O’Brien last year that he was a vegetarian, which explains why after purchasing 300 acres of land in California, it made more sense for him to have vineyards instead of livestock.

Jason Schwartzman

Best known for his roles in I Heart Huckabees and Rushmore, Jason Schwartzman is passionate about healthy eating and being a vegetarian, which is why he put his voice to this PSA for Farm Santuary.

Brad Pitt

According to The Daily Mail, Brad Pitt has been a vegetarian for a while, but his lifestyle is not something Angelina Jolie wants to mirror. And apparently, there has been heavy debate surrounding how their kids are eating.

Chris Martin

On top of being a vegetarian, Coldplay’s lead singer has also eliminated alcohol and coffee from his diet. And according to The Guardian, Chris Martin’s daily routine includes running and an hour of yoga.

Milo Ventimiglia

The star of NBC’s hit drama Heroes, 35 year-old Milo Ventimiglia has been a vegetarian his entire life (besides a few rebellious bites of meat when he was a teenager to see what he was missing), he revealed on The Bonnie Hunt Show. His parents were vegetarians for 40 years and raised Milo and his two sisters (as well as the dog) meat-free.

Brian Bell

Guitarist and backing vocalist for Weezer Brian Bell made PETA’s list of sexiest vegetarians last year, and we couldn’t agree more! Some of his favorite herbivore bites: blueberries, kale, and sweet potatoes.

Anthony Kiedis

The singer of Red Hot Chili Peppers was named Sexiest Vegetarian by PETA in 2008 and still has a rockin’ body at 50 years old! Although, he admitted in a 2011 interview with Maxim that he also “dabbles in sustainable fish.”

Casey Affleck

A vegan diet is just part of life now for Ben Affleck’s younger brother, who has been vegan for more than 15 years. His reasons for going meat- and dairy-free are straight forward: “When people ask me why I don’t eat meat or any other animal products, I say because they are unhealthy and they are the product of a violent and inhumane industry,” he said in an interview with PETA.

Alan Cumming

Emmy-nominated Scottish actor Alan Cumming resolved to go completely vegan in 2012—and hasn’t looked back! The Good Wife star kicked off 2013 by introducing Anderson Cooper to vegan chicken fingers on his show Anderson Live (with Cooper hinting at his own vegan aspirations—will he be on our list next year?).
